North South 400kV Interconnection
Abstract:
EirGrid and SONI (System Operator for Northern Ireland) are jointly proposing a new high capacity electricity interconnector between the electricity networks of Ireland and Northern Ireland. Currently there is only a single such interconnector between the two networks and a second interconnector is now proposed.

East Kerry North West Cork
Abstract:
EirGrid is proposing a new 220/110 kV substation which will connect into the existing 220 kV transmission line which runs from Tarbert, Co. Kerry to Clashavoon, Co. Cork, a new 110 kV circuit will be required to connect the proposed new 220/110 kV substation to the planned Cordal 110 kV substation and a new 110 kV circuit will be required to connect the proposed new 220/110 kV substation to either the planned Knockacummer 110 kV substation or the existing Glenlara 110 kV substation.
